A superb and unusual large Chinese porcelain Kangxi monochrome powder blue ground enriched in gilt. This high footed bowl is on both sides decorated in powder blue, the inside bowl is bordered with a large diamond diaper and four medallions decorated with floral motif in gilt. A good amount of gilding still remain. This bowl was made during the Kangxi period (1662-1722).This first bowl of a rare pair measures 22.2 cm ( 8.75 inches) in diameter and 8 cm (3.15 inches) high. Good condition with one small chip to the rim and one frit (please watch pictures), no restoration or repair. This bowl has an exceptional sound when clicking it. Shipping extra.

This famille verte biscuit Bringal type bowl is a special type of Kangxi period porcelain incised and enamelled around the exterior with three freely drawn magnolia sprays decoration in green, white and brown colours in yellow ground. The base of this high footed bowl is marked with an underglazed blue and white square mark within a double circle. There a stamp from the well-know BLUETT & SON in London. This reference porcelain bowl dates from Kangxi period (1662-1722). It measures 17.9 cm ( 7 inches) in diameter and 8.4 cm (1.6 inches) high. This bowl has few hairlines (please watch pictures). This large Chinese porcelain famille rose vase finely painted with blossoming plum flowers, wisteria, peony leaves and flowers, chrysanthemums and very fine painted spray of lotus. On both side two red copper handles. The interiors are glazed turquoise and edges is iron brown under glazed. A nice example of fine Chinese vase with vivid and bright enamels from mid 19th century; Daoguang Period (1821-1850). It measures 43 cm (17 inches) and 22.5 cm (8.8 inches) at the widest point. There is an original “Certificate of Identity” made in Hong-Kong in 1969 December 16th , this certificate C certifies that vase was over 100 years old; click here to watch it. A finely potted and beautiful Chinese export mirrored pair of porcelain vases, thin porcelain with famille rose paintings of blossoming plum flowers, peony leaves and flowers and birds standing on tree branches. On the base of each vase there is an iron red “China” mark used from late Qing dynasty to early Republic Period. Those vases belong around 1920-30. They measure 30 cm (11.8 inches) high and 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide. This is an excellent multi coloured enamelled Guangxu mark and period (1875-1908) plate known as millefleurs (thousand flowers) style pattern on a gold ground. On the base an iron red six characters Guangxu mark (Da Qing Guang Xu Nian Zhi) and three flowers sprays; this is an excellent example from this reign. This millefleurs design features blossoming peonies, chrysanthemums, lotus flowers, morning glories, hibiscus, roses, daisies and lilies. It measures 22cm (8.6 inches) in diameter and 3cm (1.15 inches) high. Good condition, no restoration or repair. Shipping extra. This is a very nice fencai condiment set made up of nine porcelain dishes with a lady and boy along the river with gilded rim. They all fit together well and sit in a dark brownish wooden box; the cover is made with wood and a decorated glass. This kind of set was used for cold dishes or snack. This porcelain set is late 19th to early 20th century. It difficult to find this set in such good condition, there is only one minor rim chip and a cracking on the wooden box (please watch pictures), no restoration or repair. The box measures are 28.5 cm (11.2 inches) square by 7.5 cm (2.95 inches) tall. The Dishes are between 10,5 cm (4.1 inches) 16.5cm (6.5 inches) wide. Shipping extra.

This woven caddy basket consist of a white porcelain teapot and a small copper red cup with the character Shou, the symbol of longevity. This is a late 19th to early 20th Century. Dimensions of basket are 13 cm (5.1 inches) tall and 20 cm (7.8 inches) by 14.5 cm (5.7 inches) wide, the teapot are 10.8 cm (4.2 inches) tall and 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide and the cup are 5 cm (1.9 inches) tall and 6.6 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter. This is a fine seated porcelain laughing Buddha, wearing untied dress and holding a gilt rosary in his right hand, with five children in his shoulders. Late 19th to early 20th century. It measures 18 cm height(7.1 inches) and 18 cm width(7.1 inches). Good condition, no restoration or repair. Shipping extra. In China Maitreya is known as the laughing Buddha and is usually represented as a rotund figure with a happy disposition. His Chinese name is Pu-tai He-shang (Hemp-bag monk). He is originally a fertility figure who was known to bring goodies in his bag to local townsfolk, especially children. The common tradition is to rub his belly for good luck and prosperity, this is because his big figure is a sign of abundance.
